What can the words of a 20th-century Polish nun teach us about navigating the ups and downs of life the 21st century? For American composer Daniel Knaggs, quite a lot. The vocal performers—the Grammy-award winning Houston Chamber Choir and four professional soloists—are impressive without stealing the show. The music is not about soloists, though; as with much good choral music, one comes away with a finer sensitivity to our need for each other, for the collective. Grace is found in our relations, not ourselves.
